ExperienceRequired : Employer is looking for a minimum of 5years of technical experience with refrigeration appliance repairkitchen equipment Commercial HVAC or relevant military service.

RACK EXPERIENCE also required.

PreferredExperience : EPA Universal (or EPA I & II) and / orCFESA certificationpreferred.

TechnicianDuties :

• Inspect repairmodify and install HVAC equipment including refrigeration andairconditioning compressors receivers condensers chillers watercooling towers forced air converter units pumps automatic and handvalves expansion valves and capillary tubes.
• Repair or replacedefective parts in units and equipment and their controls includingthermostats automatic switches fan controls log switches dampermotors louvers relays filters controls belts compressors heatexchangers high limit controls pressure controls safety valves andautomatic gas valves.
• Operate a variety ofhand and power tools welder torch vacuum pump test equipmentutilized in the trade and a motor vehicle;

maintain equipment ineffective and safe working condition; maintain parts and toolinventory.

• Repair and rebuild semihermeticreciprocating compressors and compressors for centrifugalrefrigeration machines.
• Perform skilledelectrical maintenance work in the repair installation andalteration of HVAC equipment components timers motors and wiringsystems as needed;

connect motors to control panels.

• Lubricate and pack heating ventilation refrigeration andairconditioning motors pumps fans and other equipment.
• Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing andrepair pipes and tubing as necessary; test joints and insulatepipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems;

flush boilersdescale tubing; rebuild pressure and temperature safety valves andwater pumps.

• Install rebuild replace or repairfans motors thermostats fuses filters bearings valves controlsgaskets and other equipment as necessary.
• Maintain related records concerning time labor andmaterials; maintain log of tasks performed and write reports asrequired.
